Gillian Lowry is a multidisciplinary artist, working in illustration, printmaking, painting and writing. She studied Studio Art and Geography at The University of Guelph and graduated on the Deans List with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), receiving the Printmaking Award and the top prize in Sculpture at the 2006 Juried Art Show.

Gillian’s writing and artwork have been published in North Simcoe Life, and Blank Spaces Magazine. Her interest in the natural world informs her work as she often draws on nature and the environment for inspiration.

Gillian has participated in art shows across Ontario, most recently in Stack Gallery in Orillia, and The One of a Kind Show in Toronto. She has also been involved in multiple outdoor public art pieces as part of Street’s Alive in Orillia, Ontario.

When not being creative, Gillian enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and hanging out with her friends and family. She lives in Orillia, Ontario, with her husband, who operates Lowry Building Company, and their kids. She is originally from Elora, Ontario.
